About 2e Kids Coaching
We empower 2e and autistic children and families to achieve the friendships and social acceptance they want through professional coaching services. By utilizing individualized strategies – rooted in kindness and respect – we aim to amplify authentic self-expression, ensuring each child feels genuinely understood and accepted.
Helping Your Child Thrive on Their Own Terms
Our goal isn’t to make your child fit a mold. Rather, our focus is helping your child meet their own individual social goals – whether they are looking for support in handling peer rejection or bullying, starting and maintaining friendships, or building their social toolkit.
Our Approach to Social Skills Coaching in NYC
Acceptance
Acceptance of children and families just as they are.
Respect
Respect for each individual’s right to present themselves as they wish.
Kindness
Kindness, warmth, and understanding in every interaction.
Empowerment
Offering strategies for reaching social goals, not demanding behaviors.
2e Kids Coaching is your trusted ally in empowering children to navigate the social realm with confidence and authenticity. We specialize in assisting children facing bullying challenges and those seeking to forge meaningful friendships. Instead of imposing a one-size-fits-all approach, we introduce them to evidence-based strategies commonly used by their peers. It’s not about masking or pushing neurodiversity under the rug; it’s about unveiling the “social code” and letting children choose how they wish to engage.
Our strength lies in tailoring the acclaimed PEERS program to suit individual needs, especially for profoundly gifted, autistic, or twice-exceptional children. Recognizing that not all topics resonate with every child, we offer a flexible menu rather than a rigid curriculum. Our services are adaptable: one-on-one with children, alongside parents, or exclusively with parents.
Beginning as early as third grade, we aim to lay a robust foundation long before most programs come into the picture. We partner closely with parents, offering a sometimes new perspective, encouragement, and hope.

Meet the Founder of 2e Kids Coaching
Elizabeth Smith
PA, BCIA, PEERS
Elizabeth, a New York City-based social coach, has a deep-rooted passion for empowering 2e and profoundly gifted children. Her journey into social coaching was personal: she was working as a physician assistant in psychiatry when her own 2e child needed support. Elizabeth discovered the evidence-based PEERS program from UCLA’s Semel Institute. After acquiring certification, Elizabeth performed further research into best practices to affirm neurotypes and strategies to avoid masking and forced behavior. This developed into her own strengths-based approach– utilizing empathy, acceptance, and current research to empower children to meet their own goals.
In addition to her expertise in social coaching, Elizabeth is a board certified physician assistant. She is BCIA certified in neurofeedback, leveraging it for the peak performance of her in-person clients. At home, she cherishes time with her family and her affable Havanese, Juno, who may be the neighborhood’s friendliest dog.
